Trapped
Desperate for a fraction of air
She sits detached, a spectator
As her mind regurgitates images from the depths of her hidden memories

Frustration
Anger
Pain floods her conscious mind and tears
Threaten to break the surface,
But instead
A light smile caresses her face
While
The inner storm rages on
